The whole school community of P.S. 279 helped to create this beautiful garden. Our garden began as a project to beautify the school and community and have a place for students to have a hands-on experience in gardening. We had so much fun planting seeds, bulbs and plants.        We also had help from outside sources. The exquisite mosaic plaques were made possible by a grant given to us by Project Arts. The funds allowed us to conduct a Saturday morning workshop for parents and their children to work with mosaic artist, Susan Brown. A generous anonymous donor through Donors Choose let us obtain garden supplies and New Yorkers For Parks gave 100 free daffodils to us.
