Hat Day celebrates achievement! This culminating activity was well received by our P.S. 279 learning community. We are on course to reading 25 books each this academic year, and as an added incentive, children, parents, faculty and staff, designed hats that described a character from a book that they have read. In addition, children selected the best hats, which are currently on display in our main lobby. This festive event was certainly a highlight this year. Hat Day was celebrated November 27, 2006.
